Odayasu
It’s pretty famous and always packed. The line isn’t all that long, mind you. Still, I’m not sure it’s worth queuing for… there are plenty of decent restaurants in the outer market too.
Mixed oyster set meal
Butter-grilled oysters and fried oysters. The quality of the oysters goes without saying, but it’s pricey, and eating nothing but oysters gets old. Next time I’ll try a different menu item.
That said… there aren’t many places even in Tokyo that serve ingredients this good at a premium price. Most places serve decent ingredients at decent prices. If you want top-grade ingredients, Tsukiji is pretty much your only option. That’s what makes the good restaurants in Tsukiji one of a kind, I suppose…
