I heard a good place for Korean traditional liquor had opened in Hongdae, so I went to check it out. It’s near the Sanullim Theater; apparently it had been there for ages without anyone noticing, and it’s changed a lot this time around.
Got there late, so only the leftovers..
Pretty decent stuff, actually.
The kind of liquor they pour
There were so many kinds of traditional liquor; Korea is really getting better on this front. Probably partly thanks to the policies that back traditional brewing.
Yeju from Gimpo
For the price, it is a seriously impressive drink.
Snacks
The kitchen clearly knows what it is doing with the food, too.
What we drank that night..
Yeah.. well.. this much is pretty much par for the course for us..
Round two: a drink at Angel’s Share
Pound cake from Libertable
A gorgeous, richly flavored cake that went beautifully with the whisky.
