There’s a self-service kushiage place in Odaiba. It seems to be a fairly popular chain nationwide. The selling point is all-you-can-eat deep-fried skewers for 1,500 yen.
Skewer ingredients
Not a huge selection, but as you can see, everything is very fresh. There’s beef, there’s shrimp, and so on.
Batter and breadcrumbs
You dip the skewers in the batter, coat them in panko and fry them. No trouble at all doing it yourself.
Done
It’s all deep-fried, so a few skewers in and I was already full. Not sure 1,500 yen is exactly cheap, but it feels about right. Anyway, for a chain it was a pretty tasty meal.
