Simdongri Sanchae Sundae in Naebang

I heard there was a good sundae place near Naebang Station, not Bangbae, so I went to find it. There are plenty of sundaeguk places in the city, but only a handful do it well, so I had to stop by.

Judging by the outside alone, it is not a place you would ever feel like walking into. A sundae specialist that also does kongguksu, ppyeo-haejangguk and jumbo mandu… I went in with some doubts.

But once I tasted it, it was really good. The clean, light character of vegetable sundae comes through nicely. If you only order the sundaeguk it is hard to appreciate what vegetable sundae is really about, so be sure to order the sundae too.

Sundaeguk, regular size

It came out about as big as the large size at most other places. Who knew there was a place like this in Gangnam.

Since it is sanchae (mountain-vegetable) sundae, the style is naturally different from Sansugapsan, and you have to allow for that. Polpo is nearby too, so I thought it would make a nice first stop before heading there; the only pity is that the opening hours are short.
