Tenshiba, the Tempura Restaurant at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo

I have a preconception about hotel restaurants – the food is ordinary and the prices are steep – but if you use them wisely they seem fine. This time I went to the tempura restaurant in the basement of The Prince Park Tower Tokyo, and I liked both the food and the prices. Especially since the parking is free.

The meal finished with a tendon. Overall it was solidly tasty and not that expensive either. There was also a little perk they give to female guests. They sure know how to run a business, I thought.

After dessert I went to the lounge for coffee, and it turns out they give you a discount ticket if you’ve had a meal.

When you add it all up, especially considering Tokyo’s steep parking fees, the hotel is very competitive. I have a feeling I’ll be using hotel restaurants more often from now on…
