Asakusa has four Russian restaurants, and on this trip I tried the one I hadn’t been to yet, Larousse. That completes the set.

The entrance

It’s not hard to find. Of the four, it’s the one closest to the tourist area.

The menu

The courses are on the pricey side for a Russian restaurant, but there’s also a lunch menu at around 3,000 yen. If you look closely you’ll notice the place is fairly big and nicely lit, too.

Beer

There was a decent lunch course for around 3,000 yen. Dinner is a bit more expensive.

Cabbage roll

Beautiful. Great flavor and a generous portion, too. It’s expensive, but worth every yen. You could call it a model for what a restaurant in a tourist spot should be.

Beef stroganoff

Again, pricey, but the flavor is outstanding to match.

Next time I’d like to try one of the pricier courses. Or maybe order a bunch of appetizers and share them.
