In Morishita there’s an izakaya I love called Yamariki.
The main branch
Maybe because it was raining, it was fairly quiet. Hardly any line either.
The menu
The prices are wonderful.
The otoshi starter
A beer
Nikomi stew
Yamariki is one of Tokyo’s three great nikomi joints. The other two are Kishidaya in Tsukishima and Ohashi in Kitasenju. So naturally, it’s delicious.
We order the garlic toast too.
They do great yakiton skewers too.
Sake, poured generously…
More skewers
More nikomi
Probably shishamo
Cheese (Comte)
Chicken liver pate
Doria
Spare ribs
A glass of wine
Every single thing on the menu is good here. A place I treasure.
Delicious water
It said “delicious water” on the menu so I ordered it, and it really is delicious… An izakaya where even the water tastes good…
