L’Osier is a French restaurant famous for its three Michelin stars. It was renowned long before Michelin ever came to Japan. I had wanted to go, but weekends are hard to book and on weekdays I could never find the time, so it kept not happening.. this time the chance finally came.
The front entrance
It is on Namiki-dori in Ginza. Well, once in a lifetime you have to try a place like this.
Appetizers
You cannot take photos inside, so I am posting the pictures the staff kindly took for me before bringing each dish out. It was lunch, so the value for money was excellent too.
Sea urchin soup
There is no way sea urchin could taste bad.
Lobster topped with truffle
Roast pork
Sorbet
Petits fours
The main dessert
The dessert cart
Every single dish was flawless. The finish was perfect too. When the three-hour lunch, during which I wished time would just go on forever, came to an end and I returned to reality, it felt like I had been dreaming. That is what three stars means.
