Jeonju Cheonggukjang is a place near Sinsa Station that runs 24 hours, and it is more of an everyday rice joint than a gourmet spot. There are plenty of big-name haejangguk places nearby, but sometimes I just want a simple baekban set meal. Of course this place has dishes to drink with too, but in my case I end up coming here when I want a proper meal of rice.

The distinctive cheonggukjang smell is not strong, so it is easy to eat. The first time I had it I thought it was really delicious, but after a few visits it started tasting salty. The human palate.. In that sense, ordering the unseasoned haejangguk at Yangpyeong Haejangguk is the least salty option, but it is so fatty that it gets greasy..
