Aux Delices de Dodine, Hamamatsucho

Aux Delices de Dodine, a name that is hard to even remember, is a popular French restaurant in Hamamatsucho. They do a 1,000-yen lunch, and it is generous enough that the office workers from around the neighborhood were lining up in droves.

The front entrance

aux delices du dodine

It looks small, but it runs quite deep inside. Given the price per head, it has to be at least that size, I suppose.

Pumpkin soup

aux delices du dodine

Not on a level you could compare with Bona Festa, but the portions are big and the taste is decent. And 1,000 yen is honestly not cheap for an office worker, so it has to be this generous to really impress.

Bread

aux delices du dodine

I remember it being all-you-can-eat, though there are not many occasions where you would eat unlimited bread.

Poele of chicken breast

aux delices du dodine

The chicken was good too, but above all, the mashed potatoes, in a portion big enough to stuff yourself, were the real deal. You have to put in a lot of butter to get it this smooth. There was a reason the local office workers love this place.
