Ribukjip is a jokbal specialist with branches at Yeongdong Market and in Sinsa. It is known for its naengchae jokbal (cold jokbal with a mustard sauce), so I had heard the name before, and this time I ended up going for a year-end get-together. That was already a month ago.

Side dishes

As with every jokbal place, the side dishes are simple.

Jokbal

Not bad, but compared with the great jokbal houses like Yeongdong Jokbal or Manjok Jokbal, it falls a little short. We also ordered the naengchae jokbal, and the refreshing sauce did cut through the greasiness of the pork. It might be good with soju, but the mustard was so strong that for me it was just so-so.

Jeon

You can just see the naengchae jokbal at the back. The jeon was decent enough.

The prices are low and the jokbal is better than at your average place, so it seems to be popular around here. If you do not expect too much from the jokbal and go there to drink soju, I think it is a perfectly good spot.
