I finished a piece of work in Ebisu and had dinner there. I was wondering where to go when I spotted a decent-looking Thai restaurant near the station, so in I went.

It’s fried chicken. Tuk Tuk Noodle Thai in Yeonnam-dong is much better, but this was passable. Actually, when the gai yang came out I had no intention of taking photos, but I liked the dishes that followed, so I started shooting.

I really loved the sourness of this soup, which tasted like it was loaded with spices. I’ve never had a broth like this in Korea, so next time I’m at Tuk Tuk I’ll have to give it a try.

It had a decent wok-fired flavour.

I also had a draft Kirin Ichiban Shibori.

Being in Japan, I couldn’t not have a beer.

There was a rice option on the menu, so I ordered it, and it came in a container like this.

Served out

It went really well with the tom yum kung broth.

It’s not an expensive place, nor a remarkable one, but it’s a restaurant that cooks pretty tasty food. If I ever end up living in this neighbourhood, I think I’d be a regular.
