I was out in Pangyo for the day and had dinner at a naengmyeon place that is supposedly famous in West Pangyo. Bundang has Bundang Pyeongyang Myeonok, and Ilsan has a few naengmyeon spots too; maybe it has become a trend lately, but there are a lot more places on the outskirts of Seoul where you can enjoy Pyeongyang naengmyeon now. A good thing.
The front entrance
The surroundings are pretty nice. It is ringed by mountains, and the newly built houses are really lovely. There do not seem to be many people around yet, but that will change soon enough. This place sits at the entrance to a fairly well-known restaurant street, with eateries lined up all the way in. A nice vibe for driving out to the suburbs and having a casual meal out.
The mill inside
It is done up like a garden. The place is on the large side, but it was almost full. That is how popular it is, I guess.
Naengmyeon
It is a somewhat different style from Woo Lae Oak, my personal benchmark, but the broth was rich with no off flavors and the noodles were top notch too. Not a cheap place, but the quality matched the price. With so many great naengmyeon houses in central Seoul I cannot really recommend making a special trip out to Pangyo, but if you live there, it is worth a visit.
Side dishes
The sides that come with naengmyeon are simple. I was on my own that day, so I could not order any side dishes and just had the naengmyeon. A bit of a shame, but I will have to wait for the next chance.
After a good bowl of naengmyeon I headed into central Pangyo, and the night view was absolutely stunning.

The buildings have a unified look, and the design itself is modern. A great-looking place.

It would probably be fun to work somewhere like this, but being that far from Seoul would be a bit of a problem.

Gorgeous. A lot of my friends work in Pangyo, and I hope they build plenty of great services in a place as great as this.
