Jeolgumijip is one of Baek Jong-won’s restaurants. I was looking for somewhere to go with friends who aren’t foodies, and it looked like a safe choice, so I gave it a try. But once I actually went, it was a bit more underwhelming than I expected. Bon Galbi probably would have been the better pick.

I can’t quite remember the name, but the meat quality was just average. Still, it would have been nice to leave at least the pepper up to the person eating.

Well, almost everything on the menu was pretty ordinary. I trusted it because it was produced by Baek Jong-won, but it wasn’t quite what I’d hoped for.

For round two we went to a nearby beer bar and had a few bottles of Blue Moon, which were great. It seems you can finally get reasonably good beer in Korea these days too.
