I paid a visit to the Skytree, which was right by my place until last year. It is such a familiar spot that it did not even feel like I was out sightseeing.

Cherry blossoms

Even granting that Tokyo blooms early, this is way too early. It was a slightly early-blooming variety. The sky was clear too, so it felt very much like spring.

A quick plate of sushi

I was short on time, so it really was just a quick bite. Hmm, I would have been happier if I had at least gone to Triton, so that was a bit of a pity.

I dropped by Max Brenner too, but there was nothing I really wanted to buy. I will have to try it another time.

Hot ginger and a pain au chocolat at tri-R

On the way back I stopped at tri-R, a place I love. I was planning to have the curry bread, but they told me it had been taken off the menu, which was a bit of a letdown. I will have to go back soon and try some of the new menu.

Canelé and orange peel chocolate

There was no way I could skip the best canelé I have ever had. That paradoxical taste of a crisp shell and a chewy inside… They also gave me a little orange peel on the house, and it was really delicious. It is such a precious place; my only regret is that I cannot go there often. Please do not go out of business without me. T_T
