That day I had originally planned to go to Jeongin Myeonok, but lately it does not seem to be in any state worth visiting. It looked hopeless until their new place opens, so I gave up and ended up at 9ounce, a burger joint in Nakseongdae.
It is roughly this kind of place.
Was Nakseongdae always like this? I was taken aback by the modern, cafe-like vibe I never expected here. Right across from it is the Choi Hee-sung Wang Jokbal pork-trotter place.
The 9ounce burger
Generous portion and solid fillings. I never expected to eat a burger this well made in Nakseongdae. Burger places have been popping up everywhere lately, and overall the standard seems to be rising across the board.

This one was tasty too.
It was nice to get a well-made burger in an atmosphere that does not feel like Nakseongdae at all, but given the location, I am not sure I will have a reason to come back. Unless you live in the neighbourhood or have a lot of reasons to be there, it may not mean much to you.
