The Cheesecake Factory is a famous family restaurant even by American standards, so I really wanted to go at least once. The line is always long, so I went late at night, and we got seated right away.

Exterior

A huge space, packed with people.

Bread

It feels a lot like the bushman bread at Outback.

Big Wave Golden Ale

A local Hawaiian draft beer, nicely aromatic. The quality is really high. On this trip I ended up drinking beer to my heart’s content.

Chicken Madeira

I asked what their signature dish was, and they recommended this. The sauce is on the sweet side, so it is the kind of dish that would be popular with just about anyone.

Blue Hawaiian

A cocktail with a gorgeous color, but with the poor lighting and my poor camera, this is the best shot I could get. The taste was.. hmm.. well.. I could have skipped it.

Caesar salad

You get full without even ordering two dishes, so I just went with a salad, but this was huge too, so I ate a little and had the rest boxed up. It came on an absolutely enormous plate.

Original cheesecake

This is the cheesecake the place is known for, and of course it tastes good, but it was too sweet. Compared to what I expected, the food was a little underwhelming, but with the nice atmosphere and the crowd-pleasing menu, I can see why it is so popular.
