Eggs ‘n Things, famous for its pancakes, probably has the longest line in all of Hawaii. On the way back from dolphin watching, I noticed the line was not that long, so I went in.

The first floor

The first floor only handles check-in; the restaurant is upstairs on the second floor. For the record, this is a branch, and the main shop is elsewhere, with an even longer line.

The vibe, more or less

It was on the quiet side, so we got in right away.

Pancake sauces

Guava, coconut and maple syrup.

Juice and coffee..

They say it is fresh fruit juice, but it was not as good as I expected.

Acai bowl

The pancakes come in such big portions that we could not order two, so we got an acai bowl instead, and that turned out to be a big success. The blueberry-looking fruit in the middle is the acai, and eating it with the cereal made me feel healthier by the spoonful.

Omelette

Hmm.. the ham was way, way too salty. I am not sure this was meant to be eaten..

Pancakes

The portion is enormous, but I could make something this good myself. A taste I just cannot get behind. Standing in line to eat this is beyond my understanding.

The acai bowl was really delicious, and I suppose I will have to be content with having ticked a famous place off the list.
