C*LAB Project is a dessert shop and cafe run by Le Champ de Pierres, a French restaurant. I never expected to find such a modern-looking dessert specialist in a spot like this.
The front entrance
At a glance it looked like a hair salon, so I had been ignoring it, but it turned out to be a dessert shop.
These are the kinds of dessert pastries they sell.
Everything on the menu tastes good. Besides the pastries they also sell cakes and chocolates.
Sakura mochi chocolates
I bought these for White Day, and on top of the pretty design they tasted great too. A good choice.
Champignon de Paris
A rich gateau chocolat baked in the shape of a mushroom. It felt like they had used plenty of good ingredients. Compared to the gateau chocolat at Ken’s Cafe it falls a little short, but it was still pretty good.
Mochi choco
The top is mochi and the bottom is chocolate, and the chocolate was about half melted. So soft and delicious. I was surprised to find something of this level so close to home. The more you dig around this neighbourhood, the more new finds seem to turn up.
