I went to Odaiba on a sunny weekend. Going by way of Toyosu, it turned out to be closer than I thought.

The Gundam at DiverCity Tokyo
The Gundam, the whole point of today’s outing. I had wanted to see it for a while, and finally found the time. Seeing it in person, it is worth making the trip for.

I saw quite a few tourists who had come specifically for this. For such nice weather there were not that many tourists in Odaiba, but DiverCity was packed, so it clearly draws the crowds.
It even sprays out steam..
The lights flash too, and the show is pretty decent. Tokyo has gained a nice new tourist spot.
Lunch at Tanaka Shoten, a tonkotsu ramen specialist
Like every newly opened shopping mall these days, the food court at DiverCity Tokyo is pretty high level. After wondering which place to go into, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen at Tanaka Shoten.
Tonkotsu ramen
Quite good. Tonkotsu ramen is usually cheap, and this one was a bit pricey, but it was tasty, so that much is fair enough.
The noodles
You can choose how firm the noodles are cooked, but I just ordered them regular. Tonkotsu ramen was just right since it is winter, but if I come back in spring I will have to try another item on the menu.

With today’s plan done and lunch eaten, I decided to take a walk before heading home.

This is the setting of a TV drama.. and it really is in a place with nothing around and nobody coming by.

I caught a bus from here and went home. A full day.
