Kotobuki is a casual soba shop in Azumabashi. The Sumida ward office and the Asahi Beer building are nearby, and the office workers from around there seem to use it a lot for lunch. I dropped in one weekend when cooking felt like too much of a chore.
Lemon sour
Lots of lemon and hardly any sweetness. The kind of sour that middle-aged guys go for. I like this style too, of course.
Itawasa
Slices of kamaboko fish cake with a dab of wasabi, served as the otoshi starter.
Kamo seiro soba
I ordered the duck seiro soba, and for a casual soba shop the noodles were really quite good. Generous portions too, which office workers would appreciate.
Tendon set
The tempura was decent as well. If my office were around here, I would probably be dropping in for lunch all the time.
