We finally made it to the hotel. Maybe it was because we had been on the move since dawn (we were at the airport around 6 a.m.), but I was worn out. We finished checking in at the lobby, went up to the room for a bit of a rest, and then gathered in the lobby again to head out for dinner.

Seeing that emerald water with my own eyes was truly wonderful. We have three more days here, so I intend to enjoy it to the fullest.

Everyone had a comment about how exotic it looked.

All we did all day was travel.
Back in the room, a gift was waiting for us.
Shin Ramyun and Chamisul soju.. apparently it was not from the hotel, but something the Korean manager had put together himself.. A gift like this turned up every night, but they are not foods I am especially fond of, so I will gratefully accept the thought alone. The people in the other rooms, though, said theirs vanished into their stomachs the same day.

They said they would bring as much as we asked for, so I ate a ridiculous amount of mango on this trip. Mangoes in the Philippines really are sweet and delicious. Whatever preconceptions I had about Philippine mangoes are gone.

We had not booked a particularly nice room, so the view was just so-so, but the interior was fine. We were out playing for most of the day anyway, so we barely spent any time in the room.
