Another sundae-guk post, hot on the heels of the last one. I spotted Soung Nong Chan Baekam Wangsundae in Gyodae on Nokjang’s blog and went along on the off chance.
Main entrance
In the older posts it was clearly listed as the head branch, but when I got there it had become the Gyodae branch. Where did the head branch go..
Banchan
The chives they bring out are unusual.
Assorted sundae
The suyuk (boiled pork) was decent and the wang-sundae tasted good too, but something felt a little lacking. Compared with Yeonnam Wangsundae, the impact just is not there.
Sundae-guk
Both the contents and the broth are unremarkable. As they kept adding chain branches it seems to have turned into just an ordinary sundae-guk place. If I tracked down the head branch, wherever it is, maybe I would get better sundae-guk than here, but there are plenty of other sundae places, so there is no real need to go that far.
