A lunch meetup came up out of the blue again this day, so I headed out to Sinjeong in Gangnam. Turns out there are more gopchang lovers around me than I thought.

The gopchang jeongol took ages to arrive, so I filled up on peanuts.

This was nicely roasted. Then again, at this price it had better be.

Served out
I was expecting a simple, meaty flavour, but the sweetness of the vegetables was strong. Tasty, just not quite what I expected.
Fried rice
You have to finish with rice. It’s a place with history, so it’s not bad, but it feels a bit overpriced. Maybe that’s unavoidable with prices going up these days… or maybe it’s just that Genghis Khan grill and jeongol hot pots are a lot more common than they used to be.
Chocolate from Cafe 105
There’s a place called Cafe 105 in the basement of Gangnam Finance Center, and their chocolates, imported from Belgium they say, are pretty good. The hot chocolate is a bit thin, so I wouldn’t recommend it. And so, with dessert taken care of too, I headed home.
