Lunch had filled me up, but calling it a day right there felt like a bit of a waste. So I decided to squeeze in one more stop and headed over toward Kitano.

It was on the way to my next stop, so I just dropped by. As expected, this is a neighborhood that’s very popular with tourists. Someday I really should spend a night at this hotel.

The building was under construction at the time, but it didn’t seem to get in the way of the café’s business at all. Both the exterior and the interior tell you the place has quite a bit of history. It seemed to be popular with the locals.
Tomato juice
I ordered the juice and sandwich set. The juice kept all the flavor of fresh tomatoes intact. It isn’t cheap, but in return they seem to make everything with real care.

To be honest, I came here because this place is really famous for its sandwiches, and as famous as it is, it’s definitely tasty. The egg inside is soft-cooked and the other ingredients are fresh and lively too. The bread is toasted just right. That said, it wasn’t a particularly special taste either. It’s the kind of sandwich your mom makes you at home, if you know what I mean… Since I take home cooking for granted, I don’t rate this style of flavor very highly. If I happened to be in the area at mealtime and there was nothing else in particular to eat, I’d come here, but otherwise I don’t think it would really tempt me.
