Something came up in Suwon, so I headed down there for a bit. It was all very last-minute, so I never got to have dinner, and on the way back I asked the taxi driver if there was any good place to eat around Suwon Station. He said the sundaeguk places in front of the station are famous. A bowl of sundaeguk makes a perfectly good meal, so I asked him to drop me right out front.

There are several sundaeguk places clustered together, and at a glance one called Myeongsan Sikdang looked the biggest and cleanest, so I went in. That has to be a sign business is good, right?

Sundaeguk
If I remember right it was 6,000 won, and I honestly can’t tell whether that’s expensive or cheap for a bowl of sundaeguk. It was packed with fillings and the broth was piping hot, and my tired body just melted into a pleasant drowsiness. You really do need a solid meal to get anything done. Especially people like me who live soaked in mental fatigue have to take even better care to eat properly… I’ve hardly ever been to Suwon, and I don’t know if I’ll ever have reason to come again, but if the chance comes up, I’d like to go back once more.
