I hear that these days the place in Korea where the most young people gather is Garibong, I mean, Gasan Digital Valley. Back when I worked at a company near there it wasn’t like that, but when I go there now the vibe is completely different. That said, maybe because so many of the buildings are new, there don’t seem to be many really good places to eat.
I have a lot of friends there, so I dropped by to say hello, and to do some outlet shopping with the time left over. Honestly, there wasn’t anything special on the menus. Most of them were ordinary restaurants you’d find in the dining strip outside any office. I went into one of them.

Ttukbaegi bulgogi
This was a dish I had all the time when I worked in Korea, and I can’t even remember how many years it’s been. It tasted decent enough, but maybe because it was a 5,000-won set meal, the portion was a bit small, which was my one little complaint.

My favourite yogurt ice cream. The meal was 5,000 won, and the ice cream was, what, 4,000 won… that’s just how the world is… but you can’t go through life without dessert, can you…
I chatted with a friend about the industry for a while, then moved on to my next stop. The rest of the world was celebrating Lunar New Year, and I was the only one still running myself ragged. I think I got home around 2 a.m. that night…
