I met up with a friend in Korea in Apgujeong-dong for the first time in ages. It was our first meeting since my friend got married, so I got to hear all sorts of stories. On this trip I had a lot of chances to talk with married people, and I feel like my narrow views on marriage have broadened quite a bit. Then again, that’s only natural, since my single friends are getting fewer and fewer.
When I said I wanted Korean food, my friend suggested a place called Eomma Bapsang (“Mom’s Table”). Not so much because the food is especially good, but because they have valet parking. I don’t really remember the name of the dish, but we ordered an ordinary set meal. The food was clean-tasting, the prices weren’t that high considering the neighborhood, and the atmosphere was pretty stylish for a Korean restaurant, so it seemed like a good spot for a casual get-together.

A salad with a Korean meal? Their main target must be women. Maybe that’s why the crowd was so good-looking.

After leaving the place, on our way somewhere else, I think we saw a member of T-ara. I’m bad at remembering faces, but my friend said she was a celebrity. What a neighborhood.
