Ginza, the gourmet district, is full of interesting places. Long-established famous shops, newly opened cafés, internationally renowned restaurants and so on – there’s a lot to catch your eye. Kobe beef and Matsusaka beef hamburg steaks are one of them.
This time I went to Matsusaka, a Matsusaka beef specialist. Simple name, right? Matsusaka beef, known as top-grade beef, often goes for over 10,000 yen per 100 grams, but apparently here you can enjoy it quite cheaply, from the 5,000-yen range. -_-; Well, that world is a story from some faraway country, so I went after hearing a rumor that the lunchtime Matsusaka beef hamburg steak is popular with the office workers nearby.
The entrance
It’s in a basement on the block behind Ginza Core. It’s small, so it’s easy to miss. Once inside, the service wasn’t great. The vibe was “eat quickly and get out.” Unless you’re someone who only cares about the taste, it’s hard to recommend.
Salad
Ordinary.
Rice
Ordinary, as expected
Today’s main: Japanese-style hamburg steak
Delicious ^_^ It isn’t greasy, yet the juices just run out… It goes perfectly with the grated daikon. I left with the satisfaction of having tasted Matsusaka beef, even if only a small slice of it.
Ice cream for dessert
Nice that dessert comes with it ^_^ Next time I’ll have to take on the Kobe beef hamburg steak too.
