I was wandering around Aoyama and ducked into a café for a break. Since I’m so used to running around on a hardcore solo schedule, I’d never really understood the point of cafés, but these past few days I’ve regretted that. I should have looked some up in advance…
This is a small coffee shop a friend recommended to me a while back, supposedly known for great coffee.
Photography isn’t allowed here, so I only snuck a few shots. It’s near the intersection between Omotesando and Aoyama.
It’s a small place with a calm atmosphere. There were two baristas. Most of the customers quietly had a cup and left. There was even a young woman who’d come in alone for a break.

The water they served was filtered tap water. It smelled of disinfectant. Meh…

That day I walked around Yoyogi Park.
With it being Golden Week, there were more people than usual. It looked like rain, and most of the events that had been planned seemed to have been called off.

He said his name was HITT, and he’s apparently doing a concert in Ueno in July. His piano playing and stage moves were killer.
As for his face…
Well, he’s not bad-looking, I suppose, but seeing him sing a song with lyrics along the lines of “I’m so cool”, his state of mind is clearly a cut above normal.
Besides him, there were flashy – even dangerous-looking – performances going on all over Yoyogi Park. It seems to have turned into a proper tourist attraction. If you’re bored on a weekend, definitely go check it out.
Qu’il fait bon
A popular tart shop & café tucked away in an Aoyama backstreet. I finally managed to find it, only to be told there was a two-hour wait to eat inside. Golden Week or not, that’s too much… Although even normally you have to wait about an hour on weekends.

Neighborhoods like this are more fun to stroll when there’s nobody around. Shibuya and Harajuku, on the other hand, are more fun when they’re crowded ^_^
