I’ve been so busy lately that travel was out of the question, but somehow I ended up going to Hiroshima as an extension of work -_-
This is the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
It’s a park built right next to where the atomic bomb fell.. Honestly, the Americans are something else. How could anyone decide to kill 200,000 unarmed civilians in one go.. And not just Japan, the bombing of Dresden in Germany was the same.. I really wonder what the people who wage wars are thinking..

The weather today was really nice for a change.
Miyajima’s shrine that sits in the sea.
Apparently it’s a World Heritage Site. They say it’s even prettier lit up at night, but I don’t think I’ll be staying that late.. There were so many Western tourists in Hiroshima. I really wondered how they manage to attract visitors so well..

I think I heard this is a World Heritage Site too.. Japan is really on the ball about anything tourism-related. Come to think of it, the Atomic Bomb Dome is a World Heritage Site too..

The okonomiyaki place said to be the best in Hiroshima.
It’s called Hakkai. It was recommended to me before, but I never got the chance to eat there despite several tries, and today I finally made it. True to its reputation, it was the best okonomiyaki I’ve had so far, but in the end it still tastes like okonomiyaki ^_^ A nice spot for a casual drink.
