One nice thing about Chiba is that there are loads of places worth riding out to by bike.
Last Saturday I finally had some free time for the first time in ages, so I headed out thinking I’d go see some autumn leaves.
I think I ended up cycling for about 10 hours.
Plum blossoms in bloom at a park along the Hanamigawa River. Funny how they flower in the cold..
A cat I met in the park. It didn’t run away, so I got to take its picture. So cute..
I rode around for ages, but there were no autumn colours. Maybe because there are no mountains nearby, just flat plains? A tree I snapped along the way.
A flock of birds straight out of a Hitchcock film. Seeing them all take off at once is quite a sight.
I couldn’t tell whether they were migratory birds or just sparrows.
A bare tree.. but it looks so different in the photo from what I saw with my own eyes. I should have shot this one on film…
Night has fallen. This is the expressway linking Tokyo and Chiba.
I took this from a pedestrian bridge. From here I headed on to Chiba. As soon as I got there I bought a dozen or so CDs as usual,
had a bowl of ramen, and came home.
This is the illumination at Chiba Port Park. It was as tall as a ten-storey building,
and really pretty. It was too dark for the photo to come out well.. The downside is that there’s not much else to see in this park
apart from this.. but it really was lovely..
