Pappagallo is an Italian restaurant that’s been around for quite a while.
The place
High ceilings and a really nice atmosphere.
The entrance
Lovely vibe.
Lunch menu
The prices aren’t bad at all.
Menu
The daily lunch is 1,180 yen and comes with bread or rice plus a salad. Add 200 yen and you get a drink too. I think the best thing about places like this is that a meal plus a drink costs less than eating somewhere and then going for coffee elsewhere, and you can take your time.
Pastas and pizzas
I had a quick look at what they had.
Water
Cute glasses.
Prosciutto salad
The portion is so big this alone would almost fill you up.
Chicken steak with mushroom sauce and spinach pasta
The chicken was generous, and the flavor and the doneness were spot on. Way more satisfying than I expected. The daily specials beat the regular menu here.
Rice
I asked for just a little.
Inside
Very old-world.
Inside
It was pretty empty right at opening, but after a while it filled right up. It’s a popular spot, which is probably why it’s lasted so long.
