Shiomidai Roadside Station in Hamamatsu

I’m not entirely sure if this is technically in Hamamatsu… but anyway, while driving along the national highway bypass, you’ll come across a Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) that sells a lot of locally famous products. Since it’s right on the highway, it’s really easy to access.

A place like this

Shiomidai michinoeki.

It’s quite well-put-together. It feels like it might have been renovated recently.

Bacon blocks

I guess there are livestock farms in the area.

Shiitake mushrooms

Shiomidai michinoeki.

I heard this region produces a lot of shiitake mushrooms. That’s why they were selling them so incredibly cheap…

Ocean view

Shiomidai michinoeki.

The biggest highlight of this place is the scenery—it’s absolutely stunning. The view you see is the Pacific Ocean. I think it’s worth stopping by just to take in this view.
