It might not actually be Hamamatsu.. anyway, when you drive along the national highway bypass there is a michi-no-eki, a roadside station, and they sell plenty of products that are famous around the region. Being right on the highway, it is easy to pull in as well.

Shiitake

I hear this area produces a lot of shiitake mushrooms. Which is why they were selling them dirt cheap..

The sea view

The biggest draw of this place is the scenery, and it is gorgeous. What you are looking at is the Pacific Ocean. I think it is well worth stopping by for a moment just to see this view.
