All sorts of restaurants, cafes and bakeries have been popping up between Gongdeok and Daeheung. Look around and you’ll find more than a few. I can’t visit them all, so out of that bunch I tried Liebhaber Seoul, a German bread specialist.
Getting there
It doesn’t connect directly to the Gyeongui Line Forest Park; you have to loop around the block to get there. Still, it’s not that far.

It’s even got a Blue Ribbon? I had no idea it was this well known.

German-style rye bread
When I said I’d take a photo, they kindly pulled it out and showed it off nicely.
Cheese and cheesecake
Everything looks good. Apparently the cheesecake is famous too.
Cheese descriptions
They make a variety of their own cheeses and sell them, and this is the description. I bought the dill one. Since dill is a herb, that alone gives it a rich, complex flavor, and it was delicious.
Liebhaber’s cheese
It was incredibly tasty, and for this amount at this price, the value is great too.

Bread
A tasty rye bread that feels like it’s doing you good. Granted, it’s not 100% rye, but at this level I’m very satisfied. It’s best eaten with the cheese I bought alongside it, and the cheese isn’t priced too steeply either, which is nice.
