Siopanya at Lotte Department Store

I’ve been going back and forth to Euljiro.

Ohansu Beef Noodle House

This place seems to be popular these days too..

Oldies Taco

Oldies Taco, the face of “Hipjiro”.. The line was short so I gave it a try, but it was just an ordinary taco.. Not really something worth queuing for.. I mean, being famous means being mainstream, and a mainstream taco is never going to suit my palate.. A place like Villa Guerrero is exactly my kind of thing, but I guess you can’t expect that in Hipjiro..

Bacha Coffee

They’ve opened one in Lotte Department Store. Decent flavored coffee for gifts.

Siopanya

They say their shio pan was made with advice from the original creator at Pain Maison, the birthplace of salt bread. Hmm.. but well.. it’s not like there’s any legal relationship, they just got some advice, so I’m not sure it’s something to write up so proudly.. I guess that’s what you have to do to make money..

In the making

That’s how much butter goes into a salt bread.. No wonder it tastes good..

Various salt breads

Various salt breads

Quite a few varieties..

Artisan Baker

So even a place like this ends up in a department store..

Tasty-looking breads

Artisan is a name you can trust..

Salt bread..

Freshly baked salt bread is delicious, but even though this one was baked and sold right in front of me, it had already gone cold.. So it was just ordinary. There are so many good salt bread shops these days that I don’t think it’s worth queuing for something at this level.
