Butter King Bread Factory in Paju

Paju has gained a serious number of bakery cafes.. and since they’re all clustered in one spot, it’s easy to hit them in one go.

Dirty Trunk really is huge.. this place isn’t quite on that scale, but it’s just as busy.

The bread itself wasn’t anything special, though..

Being Butter King, they have financiers and canele-type things too.. that must be the differentiator.. but a “chunky-nancier”?

At this point I’m not sure the butter angle means much.. but they have set themselves apart from Dirty Trunk a little..

The King Kong sausage bread is quite the portion..

They were selling some seriously enormous loaves..

Same as with fine dining, the fact that every shop puts out a similar menu.. that ends up being a bit of a letdown for anyone after variety.

The cafe

Nicely put together, and packed full.. if Dirty Trunk feels like a market floor, this at least feels like a regular cafe.

A space like this

For somewhere in town it would be an enormous place, but by Paju standards it’s too small a bakery cafe to count as one of the big ones..
