Hard K Bakery in Shizuoka

I heard there was a good bakery in Shizuoka City, so I went to check it out.

It sits in a tiny little neighborhood — I have no idea how everyone hears about it and makes their way out here..

Hard K stands for hado-kei, the hard-crust style, so I expected the place to be full of baguettes and campagnes — but it felt like those had already sold out for the day.

Well.. nothing to do but buy whatever is left.

Nice sense of design. I took a few of their breads home and they were tasty, though not to the point of being special, and the shop is far enough out that I do not know when I would be around again, so whether I go back is up in the air. If I get another chance I want to buy the real hard-crust stuff, something like a baguette.
