I heard there was a place in Haebangchon famous for its salt bread, so I went to check it out.

It looks seriously popular. It’s a brunch specialist, but the salt bread is what really blew up.

Like gonggalppang, it’s hollow in the middle, so there isn’t as much of it as the size suggests. The salt is strong and the butter aroma is strong too, so it’s a punchy flavour. As a meal it’s a bit much, but as something to nibble on with a drink that saltiness would work nicely. I can see why it’s popular.
