One day I went to the Shinsegae department store and found that Maison M’O had opened there. The queue at the main shop is always so long that I had been staying away for a while, but the branch is not like that, so I dropped in without giving it much thought.

They must be popular, because only a few were left. They did say more would be coming out of the oven soon, but it is not as if I was going to eat a lot of them, so I just bought a few of what was there.
Cookies and madeleines
Red bean financier and plain financier
A taste like this is legendary. The outside is crisp while the inside is chewy. I have not seen many financiers of this quality; the ones at Hugo & Victor are delicious too, but these have a deeper, richer taste. The red bean financier and the plain one are both wonderful, though personally I liked the plain financier better.
Cookies
The cookies themselves were just so-so. I think the Maison M’O branch is a real financier specialist.
