Menya Maishi at the Gotemba Outlets

The newly opened food court had a place that really caught my eye. There is a nationally famous hamburg steak chain like Sawayaka in there too, but the line was long so I skipped it for now.

Shizuoka is famous for green tea, so I ordered one.

You might think, ramen, really, after coming all the way to Gotemba.. but the ramen was still what caught my eye the most.

They have a limited-time oyster tempura sea bream ramen.

They are serving a curious sort of ramen you rarely even see in Tokyo.

The 2,500 yen sea urchin sea bream ramen was tempting too, but that day I went with the oyster tempura.

They use overwhelmingly big oysters. So there is no way it could taste bad.

The sea bream broth was good, the oysters were tasty, the noodles were just right.. I enjoyed this bowl of ramen a lot. I do not know what is going on in Japan these days, but even food court ramen tastes so good. How does that happen..

There are places like this too.. the food court really had a lot of interesting shops. It felt like Gotemba had been completely reborn.
