I have no idea who the original is.. I just happen to like Myeongdong Kalguksu a little more than Myeongdong Kyoja. It’s because Myeongdong Kyoja caters to tourists and comes out a bit punchy.. Myeongdong Kalguksu varies from branch to branch, but most of them keep the seasoning nice and even. There’s one in Gangnam too, so I dropped by at lunchtime.
