Pain de Echo is a place I have been going to since way back, and it keeps growing and moving into nicer premises. I had not made it to the new location yet, so I set aside some time and went.

Chocolate baguette

The chocolate baguette has not only chocolate but cinnamon and dried fruit in it, so if you like a dessert feel along the lines of fondant au chocolat, this is a baguette you really should try. This chocolate baguette was so good that I started hunting down the chocolate baguettes at all sorts of bakeries. But there are not many places that do it this well.

They said they made it for their beloved wife.. and the rich, nutty flavor came through nicely.

Rye bread

It was the mellow, nutty style, with no sourness at all.

The quality is so good that it truly lives up to its reputation.. I liked it a lot..
