Yoyogi-Hachiman is basically an upscale residential neighborhood, and I only found out on arriving that all the bakeries close early. Still, there was one place that was open: a shop called Mi Choripan.

Curious how it would taste, I ordered a mini choripan.

You can probably tell just by looking, but it was really delicious.

Assembled

It may not look like much, but the salty flavor is perfectly tuned for beer. And the bread is the best part. I looked up the name Mineya, and it turns out they specialize in nothing but hamburger buns and sandwich bread. Their main shop is apparently near Shinjuku, so I’ll have to visit sometime.

It was too good to just leave, so I asked for some to go.
