It was my first time in Umyeon-dong… turns out you have to take a maeul bus (neighborhood minibus) in from Yangjae. It was easier to get to than I expected, though.

The menu is very reasonably priced. Thanks to a friend who lives nearby, I found out this local gem existed. Come to think of it, Soul Bread is famous in this neighborhood too, isn’t it…

Haemultang (seafood hot pot) + octopus

They said octopus was pricey that day, so I paid an extra 10,000 won for it. Even so, the quality was outstanding.

Seriously delicious. It felt like seeing the ultimate form of Korean-style seafood steaming. Made me wonder why anyone would bother going somewhere far away just to eat seafood.
