Comme d’habitude, a Bakery near Gangnam-gu Office

These days the popular bakeries keep selling out early or having long lines, and I had no idea there were this many bread lovers in Korea. It isn’t a passing fad either; it just keeps going. Comme d’habitude is famous for its long line near Gangnam-gu Office, and when I stood in it myself it took at least an hour.

The baguette sandwich I queued up for

Comme dhabitude

It’s on par with the sandwiches I used to eat in Japan. For this level in Korea, lining up makes perfect sense.

Focaccia and a croissant

Comme dhabitude

As for croissants, I still haven’t found a place that beats Old Croissant Factory. The focaccia was top-notch too.

Carrot juice

Comme dhabitude

The juice tasted like carrots… I was expecting something special, but it wasn’t quite that…

Galette

Comme dhabitude

Really well made. It rivals the galette at Maison de Zoé.

Canelé

Comme dhabitude

The canelé was pretty much the best in the country too.

I came for the sandwich and found out the other items are good as well. Lining up again is a bit much though… they open at 11, so you have to be in line from 10, which on a weekday means skipping out of work. Still, I’d like to go back someday.
