I had to have dinner in Ueno, so I searched Tabelog and a place called Daitoryo looked decent. When I got there, it turned out to be huge, yet it was packed with people and there was even a line. I waited in line for a bit myself before eating.

Self-serve lemon sour

Instead of squeezing lemons, they bring out a pre-made sour like this. The taste was ordinary.

Nikudofu

Well.. it was decent enough. Apparently it is horse offal, but I could not really tell any particular difference.

These were decent too, not bad..

For something light I ordered the tamago and cucumber.

Nothing special.. but it tasted better than it looked.

It is autumn, so a saury too..

There is no way autumn saury could taste bad. We ate and drank all this and it came to under 3,000 yen for two, so I can see why this place is popular. It is very much an Ueno kind of place.
