I had some business in Garosu-gil, so I stopped by Etoile. The breads and desserts change every time I go, so you really have to drop in often.

Kouign-amann

A kouign-amann is normally practically candied in sugar, but Etoile’s is not that sweet. Fans of the original kouign-amann might be disappointed, but the sweetness was so well balanced that I really enjoyed it. They have a good sense for baking bread.

Cakes

That orange cake looked so good I could not resist buying it. But once I ate it, it felt a little short of what the looks promised. The Mont Blanc was just so-so too.. Now that my curiosity is satisfied, I think I will focus on other desserts next time.
