Agyeong Myeonseon, a Pork Intestine Noodle Shop in Daerim

In Taiwan there is a famous street noodle shop called Ay-Chung Flour-Rice Noodle, and I hear that being a tourist attraction, lots of people visit it. A shop with a similar concept opened near Daerim Market, so I went to check it out.

The shop is called Agyeong Myeonseon, and it is very small with a cramped eat-in space. It has a fast-food feel: you slurp down a bowl and get up.

It was a hot day, so I had it as a set. The price was cheap, around 5,000 won.

Pork intestine noodlesakyeongmyeonseonWhen ordering I asked them to pile on plenty of cilantro. There is a bit of intestine in it, but it is not a heavy flavor. The sourness stood out a little, like hot and sour soup. The noodles feel something like enoki mushrooms, and I slurped them up happily with a spoon. It seems like a good thing to eat when the weather is a bit hot, as a way of looking after yourself. The problem is that it has been so hot lately that going out to eat is no joke..
